The Committee on Education and Workforce, under the leadership of Chair Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI), is set to convene for a markup session on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. The session will be held at 2175 Rayburn House Office Building. During this meeting, the committee plans to review five proposed bills aimed at protecting students, empowering workers, and reducing bureaucratic obligations.

The bills up for consideration include H.R. 2617, referred to as the "Say No to Indoctrination Act", and H.R. 2616, known as the "PROTECT Kids Act". Additionally, H.Res. 237 seeks an inquiry requiring the President and the Secretary of Education to forward specific documents to the House of Representatives related to workforce reductions and other downsizing strategies at the Department of Education. Furthermore, the committee will deliberate on H.R. 2262, named the "Flexibility for Workers Education Act", and H.R. 2270, which is the "Empowering Employer Child and Elder Care Solutions Act".

The proceedings are open to the media and will also be available for public viewing through a live stream on the Committee's YouTube channel.
