Today, the House of Representatives passed a budget resolution endorsed by former President Trump. Following the passage, Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) expressed his approval in a statement.
"The American people have been clear that they want to end wasteful government spending," Walberg stated. "This budget resolution delivers on that promise while providing relief to working families, students, and small businesses."
Walberg emphasized the importance of further action by urging Senate colleagues to adopt the House's budget. "This is only the first step; I urge my friends in the Senate to adopt the House budget so we can get to work on implementing President Trump and the American taxpayer’s agenda."
The passage marks a significant step toward addressing fiscal concerns raised by constituents and aligns with objectives outlined during Trump's presidency.
