Education and Workforce Chairman Tim Walberg met with Linda McMahon, President Trump's nominee for Secretary of the Department of Education. The meeting took place in Washington. After their discussion, Chairman Walberg expressed his support for McMahon's qualifications to lead the department.

"As a successful business executive and the former head of the Small Business Administration, Linda McMahon is uniquely qualified to lead the Department of Education," said Walberg. He emphasized issues within the current education system, mentioning antisemitism, declining test scores, and challenges in women's sports as areas needing improvement.

Walberg stated his eagerness to collaborate with McMahon to bring about significant changes for students and parents across America. "Together, we will deliver on promises like expanding school choice, reining in federal overreach, and ending the Biden-Harris illegal student loan scheme," he added.

The meeting signifies a step forward in addressing educational concerns under new leadership.
