Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx has expressed her support for Congresswoman Elise Stefanik's nomination to serve as ambassador to the United Nations in the Trump administration.

Foxx stated, "Congresswoman Stefanik has proven that she’s a fighter and anyone who has seen her in action in our hearing room knows that. She refuses to let anti-American values fester on college campuses, she refuses to let government bureaucracy keep Americans from reaching their full potential, and most importantly, she refuses to let the status quo go unchallenged."

Foxx also remarked on the need for change at the United Nations, saying, "The United Nations is past due for a wake-up call, and I can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes. I’m proud to call her a colleague and a friend."
