WASHINGTON – Committee on Education and the Workforce Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) today celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo to overturn Chevron deference.

“There are three branches of government, not four, and only one has the power to make laws. For years, the Biden administration has used Chevron deference to justify the actions of its rogue administrative state, from unconstitutional student loan bailouts to the Department of Labor’s sweeping overtime rule. Today’s decision rightly makes it clear that Congress makes the laws. It’s a major win for the U.S. Constitution,” said Dr. Foxx.

Dr. Foxx previously joined House Republicans in filing an amicus brief in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo.
