Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx has voiced her concerns over proposed changes by the Biden-Harris administration to Section 14(c) programs. These programs are designed to protect employment opportunities for workers with disabilities.

Foxx described the proposal as "misguided and irresponsible," arguing that there is substantial evidence supporting the effectiveness of Section 14(c). She stated, "We have plenty of evidence that shows 14(c) doesn’t destroy opportunities for individuals with disabilities, it protects them." According to Foxx, states that have moved away from these programs often see participants becoming jobless and isolated.

She urged the administration to reconsider its stance, emphasizing that "all Americans deserve to find dignity in work."
