How much did Watauga County-based Watauga Democratic Party spend in Q4 2022 to have highest expenses in the quarter?

Watauga Democratic Party spent the most out of political committees within cities associated with Watauga County during the fourth quarter of 2022.

It spent $35,304 on 29 vendors during the time period.

The largest expense was for Other Expenses to MJ Ross, Inc., which is based in the Portland area.

The second largest political spend from a committee operating in a city within Watauga County during the fourth quarter of 2022 came from Searcy for Sheriff. It spent $19,432 during the time period on 31 different vendors.

What’s known as “dark money”, which comes from political non-profits and shell corporations, has greatly increased expenditures and donations in recent elections to record-breaking highs.
