The Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions, led by Chair Rick Allen (R-GA), will convene a hearing tomorrow morning at 10:15 a.m. The session, titled "A Healthy Workforce: Expanding Access and Affordability in Employer-Sponsored Health Care," is scheduled to take place at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.
The hearing, lasting until 2:00 p.m., will feature several experts addressing issues related to health care costs and access. These witnesses include Ms. Angela Shields, Chief Executive Officer of Tennessee REALTORS, representing the National Association of REALTORS; Ms. Marcie Strouse, Partner at Capitol Benefits Group, speaking for the National Federation of Independent Business; Ms. Bethany Lilly, Executive Director of Public Policy at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; and Mr. Kev Coleman, Research Fellow at the Paragon Health Institute.
Chairman Allen’s subcommittee aims to explore potential strategies to improve the accessibility and affordability of health care benefits provided by employers. The session will be open to the press and will also be live-streamed on the Committee's YouTube page.
