Appalachian State University, based in Boone, North Carolina, has been recognized for its business education programs for the academic year 2024–25. The university's Walker College of Business has earned accolades from multiple sources, including The Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, CEO Magazine, Forbes magazine, and Fortune magazine.

Sandra Vannoy, Dean of Walker College of Business, stated: “These honors are direct reflections of the hard work and achievements of our entire Walker College of Business community — faculty, staff, students and alumni.” She emphasized the dedication of faculty members who employ innovative teaching methods to prepare graduates for leadership roles in business.

The university offers a Master of Business Administration program that is available both full-time and part-time at its Boone campus and through App State Online. The program aims to provide flexible class options to accommodate students' lifestyles and professional goals.

The Master of Science in applied data analytics is a 36-hour program designed to equip students with technical skills necessary for data-driven decision-making within a business context. Similarly, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) programs in management and supply chain management offer flexibility through online learning or on-campus classes at Boone and Hickory campuses.

U.S. News & World Report included App State’s BSBA and MBA programs among its "2024 Best Online Programs" rankings. Overall, App State Online ranked within the top 23% nationwide for best online bachelor's programs.

The Princeton Review listed Walker College among the "Best Business Schools for 2024," recognizing outstanding academics and career services. Rob Franek noted that these schools share characteristics like robust experiential learning components.

CEO Magazine named App State an international leader in graduate business education with its on-campus MBA program earning Tier Two status in their "2024 Global MBA Rankings." The online MBA was also highlighted as one of 92 internationally recognized programs.

Fortune Education ranked App State's M.S. in applied data analytics as 11th nationally among master's programs specializing in data science.

Forbes Advisor ranked App State’s BSBA in management third on its list of "Best Online Business Management Degrees of 2024," based on criteria such as credibility and affordability.

Walker College enrolls approximately 4,000 undergraduates across 11 majors with AACSB International accreditation since 1976—an accolade held by less than six percent globally.
