Tomorrow, September 18, at 10:00 a.m., the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections, chaired by Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA), will hold a hearing titled “Examining the Biden-Harris Attacks on Tipped Workers.”

“With record-high inflation, tipped workers need policies that make it easier to earn a living, not harder. Implementing a rule that further penalizes workers and job creators who utilize the tip credit is the wrong move,” said Chairman Kiley. “This hearing will highlight pro-market initiatives that can improve workers' earnings, provide businesses with more flexibility, and lessen the regulatory burden.”

The hearing will take place at 2175 Rayburn House Office Building and is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.

Witnesses for the hearing include Mr. Tom Boucher, Owner of Great NH Restaurants, Inc., representing the National Restaurant Association; Mr. Paul DeCamp, Member of Epstein, Becker & Green, P.C.; Ms. Saru Jayaraman, President of One Fair Wage; and Ms. Simone Barron, Co-Founder of Full-Service Workers Alliance.

The hearing is open to the press and will be live-streamed on the Committee’s YouTube page.
