County of Alleghany issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.
Beginning, Tuesday, August 30th Alleghany EMS will resume two crews 24/7 with significant schedule changes to ensure our current staff continue to receive adequate time off and our full-time EMS schedule is more attractive to prospective employees.
During this transition, we would like to thank our current EMS staff, Dispatch staff, Alleghany County Rescue Squad, First Responders, Volunteer Fire Departments and surrounding County EMS staffs for their diligent work and dedication.
