County of Avery issued the following announcement on Apr. 19.
To hear upon request any and all taxpayers who own or control taxable
property assessed for taxation in Avery County, with respect to the valuation of such
property, or the property of others, and to fulfill other duties and responsibilities
as required by law.
The board will adjourn for the purpose of requests for hearing its last meeting
on Friday, May 20, 2022.
Meetings will be in Conference Room 106 of the Avery County Courthouse.
Requests for hearing must be received no later than final adjournment
which is scheduled for Friday, May 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
Applications may be picked up at the Tax Assessor’s Office.
