Town of Boone issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.
Whether you're walking down King Street or driving through Blowing Rock Road, one thing which has made Boone, Boone are the locally owned businesses. From boutiques to restaurants, tourists and residents alike are drawn to the creativity and uniqueness each business brings to Boone. That is why we want to promote the NCDOR Business Recovery Grant Program! The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all, including small businesses.
This program will issue a one-time payment to eligible North Carolina businesses that experienced significant economic loss due to COVID-19. Two types of grants will be available to eligible businesses that suffered an economic loss of at least 20 percent during the pandemic, including a hospitality grant and a reimbursement grant.
