County of Avery issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.
The Avery County Board of Commissioners will hold a Board Workshop on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Board Room, Avery County Administrative Complex, 175 Linville Street, Newland, NC. The purpose of the board workshop is to discuss and take any action necessary regarding the following items:

- Charters of Freedom
- Social Service Facility
- School Construction
- Opiod Settlement
- Drug Crisis; Freedom Life
