Town of Beech Mountain issued the following announcement on Aug. 25.
8/26/2021 – 8/30/2021 Update NCDOT report of ROAD CLOSURE ON SR NC Hwy 184 /Tynecastle Hwy near the Alpine Coaster and Foodlion by Sugar Mountain will be closed everyday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and open to at least one lane from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. until repairs are made. People should avoid the area if possible!
