Town of Seven Devils issued the following announcement on Aug. 4.
The Streamside Ecology Ranger Workshop TOMORROW, August 5th at 1:00pm. Bring your waders or shoes to get wet in and join the fun of learning what type of critters are found in the water at Otter Falls from Grandfather Mountain State Park Ranger Andy Sicard. By the species we find we can also tell what kind of water quality Otter Falls is. Participants will learn what type of species indicate clean healthy water and which species are indicators of poor-quality water. This program is suitable for all ages but will consist of about a 1.2-mile hike round trip and will last approximately 2 hours. Meet at the Otter Falls Parking lot to join in on this workshop.
