Town of Banner Elk issued the following announcement on Jul. 12.
We have renovated the Directors Hall (boat house pavilion for you old timers) with bathrooms. Our goal is to offer a licensed preschool for 3-5 year olds. We need donations of gently used, child-friendly, age-appropriate furnishings for indoors and outdoors, such as small tables, chairs, play centers, framed posters, books, toys, etc. Please contact Jim Austin for a pickup.
