The North Carolina Federation of Young Republicans is pushing millennials with Republican beliefs to make their voices heard in the 2020 elections.
An October video posted to the official North Carolina Federation of Young Republicans Facebook page featured Catherine Whiteford, the organization's state chair and a former state House candidate, expounding on her reasons for voting Republican.
"I'm a Republican because I believe in limited government," Whiteford said in the video. "I believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and I believe that, if you work hard, that you will be able to make a better life for yourself."
State Rep. Jeffrey Elmore (R-Wilkes) applauded Whiteford's message on his official Facebook page.
"Wonderful message from one of the young leaders in the GOP," Elmore wrote in his post. "This election is a vote for the core foundation of what makes America great or an alternative that has failed over and over. Vote to Keep America Great."
