Sen. Warren Daniel (R-Avery) was endorsed by the State Employees Association of North Carolina, the Republican lawmaker said on his Facebook page.
"As the largest organization representing state employees across the state, SEANC is an effective advocate for the state employees in my district," Daniel said in the Sept. 17 Facebook post. "To all the state employees in Avery, Burke and Caldwell counties, thank you for what you do for the people of our state, and for allowing me to represent you in Raleigh. I appreciate your support."
Daniel has served in the North Carolina Senate since 2011. He represents District 46.
The North Carolina native is a small business owner and a farm owner. His objectives include creating jobs, cutting wasteful spending, lowering taxes, improving education, improving health care access, ensuring honest and fair elections, fighting for the sanctity of life, protecting the Second Amendment and preserving the definition of the traditional family.
Daniel is running against Democratic challenger Edward Phifer III for District 46 state Senate seat.
