Sen. Deanna Ballard recognizes agriculture as a big contributor to the NC economy at the Future NC panel where she discussed it, according to her Facebook post.
In the first Facebook post, Sen. Ballard highlighted the $91.8 billion that farming families contribute to the NC Economy. She also thanked Rep. Virginia Foxx for joining her.
"These incredible farming families are part of a 91.8 billion dollar contribution to our state’s economy. I was honored to celebrate them with many neighbors and friends in Alleghany County last night! Thanks for being with us Congresswoman Virginia Foxx and N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Troxler," Ballard wrote.
In the second Facebook post, Ballard said it was an honor to speak before the My Future NC panel.
"Honored to have joined this panel yesterday — we’re talking all things My Future NC and working together with local and community leaders across North Carolina to ensure 2 million North Carolinians have a high-quality credential or post-secondary degree by 2030!
