"Following a disaster, the federal government should be a support system for states and not run interference," stated Foxx. She emphasized the importance of the legislation, saying, "The Helene Small Business Recovery Act addresses a crucial need for business owners to get the support they need from the federal government without facing bureaucratic delays or roadblocks." Foxx expressed pride in her role as an original cosponsor of the bill and reaffirmed her commitment to aiding the recovery of western North Carolina.
