In collaboration with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx has announced a pinning ceremony to honor Vietnam-era veterans residing in North Carolina's 5th Congressional District. The event is scheduled for April 4th at 12:30 PM and will take place at the Rockingham County Cooperative Extension building.

The ceremony invites all constituents from the 5th District who served in the armed forces during the Vietnam War era, spanning November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975. Eligible veterans will receive a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin as a token of appreciation for their service. The lapel pin serves as a commemorative item symbolizing the nation's gratitude towards these veterans who often did not receive an official welcome home.

"My father and uncles were World War II veterans, my brother served in Vietnam, and I am very appreciative of the sacrifices made to protect this great country and its citizens," said Rep. Foxx. "The entire nation owes our military personnel and veterans a huge debt of gratitude and ensuring that debt is properly repaid is one of my top priorities in Congress."

Interested participants are encouraged to RSVP by March 31st through an online form available at https://foxx.house.gov/vwc50/. For further inquiries, individuals can contact the Boone district office at (828) 265-0240 or email foxxvwc50@mail.house.gov.

The venue for this event is located at 525 NC-65, Reidsville, NC 27320.
