Daniel Caputo, MS, PA-C, has joined Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine in Jefferson, North Carolina. With over 15 years of experience in orthopedic and trauma surgery, Caputo is expected to enhance the clinic's services.

Ashe Memorial Hospital CEO Brian Yates stated, "We are excited to welcome Daniel Caputo, MS, PA-C, to our team at Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine. Daniel’s experience in general orthopedic surgery and athletic training will allow us to expand our orthopedic and sports medicine services to the Ashe County community."

Caputo hails from New York and completed his education at Long Island University in Brooklyn and York College in Queens. Before joining Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, he worked as an orthopedic surgery physician assistant at New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. He also continues his role as a program trainer for Integrative Practice Solutions in Tampa, Florida.

In his new position, Caputo will see patients at the clinic and assist Dr. Douglas Turgeon in surgeries. Caputo expressed his approach towards patient care: “My favorite thing is talking to patients and connecting with them,” he said. “I don’t like to rush. I like to take my time with patients and help them explore treatment options and figure things out together."

The clinic operates on the campus of Ashe Memorial Hospital from Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., offering comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine services.

Ashe Memorial Hospital has been serving the Ashe County community for over 80 years since its founding in 1941. It provides a range of medical services including emergency care, elective procedures, rehabilitation, and preventive health services.
