Education committee reviews bills on foreign influence and child nutrition

The Committee on Education and Workforce, led by Representative Tim Walberg of Michigan, is set to review five legislative proposals aimed at reducing foreign influence in American education and enhancing child nutrition. The session will take place on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. in the Rayburn House Office Building.

The bills under consideration include H.R. 1048, known as the DETERRENT Act; H.R. 649, titled the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2025; H.R. 1069, referred to as the PROTECT Our Kids Act; H.R. 1005, named the CLASS Act; and H.R. 1049, called the TRACE Act.

This event is open to media representatives and will be available for viewing via live stream on the Committee's YouTube channel.
