Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) has commented on President Trump's decision to dismiss National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo.

In his statement, Walberg criticized Abruzzo's tenure at the NLRB, asserting that her leadership compromised the agency's intended neutrality. He stated, "The NLRB is supposed to be an impartial agency that handles disputes between employers and employees fairly under the National Labor Relations Act. But Abruzzo’s reign distorted this mission, weaponizing the agency to advance a radical agenda."

Walberg further accused Abruzzo of actions detrimental to employer rights and fair election practices within the organization. He remarked, "From undermining employer free speech to engaging in misconduct and failing to conduct fair and impartial elections, the NLRB has failed." According to him, these issues have impacted Americans' employment rights.

Concluding his statement, Walberg emphasized the need for the NLRB to realign with its original purpose: "It is past time this organization return to its role as a neutral arbiter."
