WASHINGTON — Tomorrow, at 10:15 a.m., the Committee on Education and the Workforce will hold a hearing titled “Examining the Policies and Priorities of the Department of Labor.”
"Incomprehensibly, this will now be the second time Julie Su has appeared before the Committee in her unconfirmed role as Acting Secretary of Labor. This time, the Biden administration is asking for even more taxpayer money to enact its Big Labor agenda at the expense of workers and job creators," said Chairwoman Virginia Foxx.
“Under Su, DOL is imposing punitive costs and regulatory burdens on job creators, especially small businesses, and limiting opportunities for American workers. This Committee has serious concerns about Su’s failed leadership and the devastating impacts of her overbearing agenda.”
The hearing, scheduled for 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, will feature Acting Secretary Julie Su from the U.S. Department of Labor as the witness. The event will take place at 2175 Rayburn House Office Building and will be open to the press, with live-streaming available on the Committee’s YouTube page.
