County of Avery issued the following announcement on July 18.
The Social Services Commission will make an appointment to the Avery County Board of Social Services to fill the seat of an expired term.
The term has expired June 30, 2022. The Social Services Commission will consider nominations at a future meeting.
The nomination period is scheduled from July 25, 2022, to August 25, 2022. Nominations must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 25, 2022.
You may obtain a Nomination Form from the local department of social services office (DSS).
The form must be fully completed by the nominee, signed, and returned to the address below.
