The Town of Boone Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Fleet Maintenance Supervisor. This employee performs difficult skilled work supervising and participating in the maintenance of automotive and construction equipment. Does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision. Limited supervision is exercised over all fleet maintenance personnel.
Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and considerable experience in repairing automotive and power driven equipment.
Special Requirements: Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of North Carolina. Possession of North Carolina inspection license.
Special Note: All offers of employment are subject to successful completion of a controlled substance screening, medical examination and extensive background check.
