Virginia Foxx, a member of the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 5th district since 2005, recently posted a series of messages on her social media account. The content reflects personal and political sentiments.

Shortly after, she shared another message on July 13, 2025: “Never surrender!”

Later the same day, Foxx commented on language use and online discourse with the statement: “Grammar needs work. Sentence structure needs work. Insult is subpar. Sad.”

Foxx has served in Congress since replacing Richard Burr in 2005 and previously held seats in both the North Carolina House of Representatives and Senate from 1995 to 2005. Born in New York City in 1943, she currently resides in Banner Elk and holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
