Virginia Foxx, U.S. Representative for North Carolina’s 5th congressional district, posted a series of brief comments on her X (formerly Twitter) account on August 23 and 24, 2025.

On August 23, Foxx wrote, “America disagrees.” On the same day, she posted another message: “Lol…” The following day, Foxx added a third post: “Well, well, well…”

Foxx has represented North Carolina’s 5th district in Congress for several terms. In the most recent general election in 2024, she defeated Chuck Hubbard with 59.5% of the vote to Hubbard’s 40.5%. In previous elections—2022 against Kyle Parrish (63.15% to 36.85%), 2020 against David Brown (66.9% to 31.1%), 2018 against Denise D. Adams (57% to 43%), and both in 2016 and 2014 against Josh Brannon (58.4% to 41.6%, and 61% to 39%, respectively)—Foxx maintained a consistent margin of victory.

Her recent social media posts follow this pattern of public engagement during her tenure as a congressional representative.
