Virginia Foxx, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 5th district, shared her thoughts on social media regarding current political events. Her recent tweets touch on both personal sentiments and broader political commentary.

On July 3, 2025, Virginia Foxx expressed her agreement with an unspecified statement or sentiment in a brief post stating “Me too.”

In another tweet posted later that day, Foxx shared two links without accompanying text or explanation “https://t.co/Xp3utapdN3 https://t.co/XHvEXkGpws”.

Further elaborating on her political stance, Foxx addressed what she perceives as the Democrats’ desperation to undermine a legislative initiative. On July 3, 2025, she tweeted: “The reason why Democrats are so desperate to smear the One Big Beautiful Bill is because they’re in denial. They still can’t accept that Americans chose Republicans to lead the nation instead of them.”

Virginia Foxx has been serving in Congress since 2005 after replacing Richard Burr. Before her congressional tenure, she was part of the North Carolina Senate from 1995 to 2005. Born in New York City in 1943, Foxx now resides in Banner Elk and holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
