Virginia Foxx, a long-serving U.S. Representative from North Carolina, posted a series of statements on her social media account between October 4 and October 5, 2025, addressing issues related to taxpayer funding for healthcare and responding to other online commentary.
On October 4, Foxx wrote: “It sure looks like you’re trying to strong arm taxpayers into paying for health care for illegals https://t.co/nxLStp8Ag7 https://t.co/LExogybCpi”.
Later that evening, she responded to another user with the statement: “Your post is pure fiction – like everything you’ve ever written. https://t.co/GILVGKWid1”.
The following day, Foxx posted again referencing an earlier proposal: “Since you have so conveniently forgotten about your own proposal, I’ll just leave this here: https://t.co/Si0SEpy7fL https://t.co/1yJBWt5nNL”.
Foxx has maintained her seat in Congress through multiple election cycles. In the most recent 2024 general election, she defeated Chuck Hubbard with nearly 60% of the vote. Previous elections also saw her winning by significant margins against various opponents including Kyle Parrish in 2022, David Brown in 2020, Denise D. Adams in 2018, Josh Brannon in both 2016 and 2014. These results highlight her continued electoral strength and longstanding presence representing North Carolina’s district in the U.S. House of Representatives.
