Town of Wilkesboro issued the following announcement on Mar. 9.

This is to notify those who have not paid their 2021 Town of Wilkesboro Property Taxes that as the owner of record, their name will be advertised in the Wilkes Journal Patriot Newspaper on or about April 27, 2022. An advertising fee can also be added to your account. 

According to North Carolina Statute G.S. 105-369(c), legal procedures also can be taken to collect these taxes such as foreclosure, attachment, garnishment (bank accounts, wages, etc.) and debt set off. 

Please submit payment plus any penalty and interest due on or before March 30, 2022. To find out the amount you owe, click here and search tax account information by parcel or name. You may pay in person, drive-thru window, or secure 24/7 dropbox at Town Hall, US Mail, or online.
