Town of Elkin issued the following announcement on Apr. 26.

Like Running and Kayaking? Here is something for you. Rocky Forest River Run is teaming up with Finish Line Timing to offer a duathlon benefiting Brandon Collins and family. Participants will start at RFRR, run to Elkin, hop in a kayak and paddle down the Yadkin River to the RFRR dock and to the finish line. The event will take place Sat., April 30.
