Town of Boone issued the following announcement on Dec. 3. 

Donate gifts to spread holiday cheer to senior citizens in our community who are in hospice care, shut-in or in an assisted living center in Watauga, Avery, Mitchell and Yancey counties. Newly purchased items to include:

  • Activity Books
  • Socks with Grips
  • Slippers
  • Lip Balm/Lotion
  • Winter Accessories
  • New Blankets
  • Non-Homemade Treats
  • Cards

Drop-Off Locations are open for drop-offs November 29th-December 9th (Monday-Thursday) from 11:00am-3:00pm at the following locations

  • Watauga County Sheriff’s Office: 184 Hodges Gap Rd. in Boone
  • Boone Police Department: 1500 Blowing Rock Rd. in Boone
  • Go Postal Boone: 207 New Market Center in Boone
  • W.A.M.Y Office Locations:
    • 225 Birch St. Suite 2 in Boone
