Town of Boone issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.

The first ever meeting of the Human Relations Commission (HRC) will be hosted tomorrow evening, January 4th, at 5:30pm in Council Chambers (located at 1300 Blowing Rock Road) and via Webex. 

The purpose of the HRC is to promote and improve human relations and equity among all citizens in the town. 

The Commission will work with town government and partner with communities and outside agencies in an effort to encourage and ensure diversity, fairness, equity and inclusion throughout the town.
