TOWN OF BOONE: Electric Vehicle Charging in Boone

0Comments

Town of Boone issued the following announcement on July 14.

Boone continues to go electric In the past 6 months, we have added not one, not two but THREE additional level two charging stations which have the capacity to charge four cars at once. Not only that, but we are continuing to offer free charging to everyone, all you have to do is pay for parking!

Check out our “one with the trees” charger, located at the Jones House. While we didn’t intend our little vine friend to make its home on our charger, we think it looks pretty cool! Best of all, charging at this station is free, parking and all. Now, next time you’re viewing our Jones House Art Gallery or listening to some sweet live music, you can charge your vehicle as well.

Next, we have our most remote charger which is located at the Boone Jaycee Park. Head on out and enjoy this beautiful Boone summer with the kiddos, and while they can play on the jungle gym and slides, you can be charging your vehicle, again, for free!

Finally, we have one of our most used charging stations, the station located in the multi-hour parking lot next to Town Hall. Out of all of the stations listed today, this is the station that requires you to pay for parking. Don’t know where these are? Don’t worry! Check out our ‘Electric Vehicle Charging in Boone’ webpage, where we have all of our charging stations listed as well as a specially curated Plugshare map which’ll point you in the right direction. Happy driving y’all, and remember to always wear your seatbelts!
