Town of Bakersville issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.

If anyone is in need of a warming station, Bakersville and Spruce Pine Fire Departments will be available.

If the need arises for an over night shelter, it will be at.. 

 the new Mitchell County Law Enforcement Center in Bakersville. ( the old Taylor Togs)

Spruce Pine First Baptist Church

If are unable to make it to a warming station Mitchell County Sheriffs Office can help.
