Town of Boone issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.

Due to inclement weather, the Town of Boone’s Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) has rescheduled the Council’s Store Historic Marker Unveiling Ceremony.

Originally set to take place on January 23, 2023 at 1PM, the new date for the ceremony is set to be February 3, 2023, weather dependent.

The Boone HPC would like to invite the public to attend the marker unveiling ceremony on the rescheduled date of February 3, 2023, at 1 PM.

The unveiling ceremony will take place at the site of the marker at the intersection of Grand Boulevard and West King Street.
