County of Avery issued the following announcement on Sept. 26.
The Social Services Commission will make an appointment to the Avery County Board of Social Services to
fill the seat of an expired term. The term has expired June 30, 2022. The Social Services Commission will
consider nominations at a future meeting.
The nomination period is scheduled from September 28 to October 28, 2022. Nominations must be
received no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 28, 2022.
