Wilkes County Public Library issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.
We're collecting donations for the Catherine H. Barber Memorial Shelter. Items can be brought to the Wilkes County Public Library.
If you would like to contribute, we'd greatly appreciate it!
Items needed:
Dryer Sheets
Lysol Spray
Clorox Wipes
Clorox Bleach
Individual packs of:
Trail Mix
Chips
Snack Crackers
Individual Sport Drinks
Plastic Utensils
Paper Towels
8oz or 12oz cups with lids for coffee
*$5 Food Cards (Preferably Bojangles or McDonalds because they're closest and their dining rooms are open).
**Grocery Cards can be used by the staff to buy supplies.
