Of the 2,065 people living in Fairplains in 2019, 53.1 percent (1,096) were women and 46.9 percent (969) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the High Country Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 701-to-634. In the 65 and over age range, there were 250 females and 186 males.
