Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 4.

The mobile mammography bus will be in Boone on February 11!

Let’s all celebrate Valentine’s Day by getting those mammograms!!

Mammograms will be offered to anyone 35 years of age and older.

On-line registration begins in January of 2023.

If you do not have insurance and cannot afford your mammogram, the High Country Breast Cancer Foundation will pay for your screening.

The only requirement is that you must reside in one of the counties in the High Country.

The High Country Breast Cancer Foundation is beyond grateful that we are able to offer this service.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to the Foundation over the last five years.

Through your generosity, we are able to bring the bus to our community.
