House Education and Workforce Committee to mark up six workforce-related bills

The House Committee on Education and Workforce, chaired by Representative Tim Walberg (R-MI), is scheduled to conduct a markup session tomorrow at 10:15 a.m. The committee will consider six bills that address issues related to retirement security, workplace safety, and support for the American workforce.

The bills up for discussion include the Tribal Labor Sovereignty Act of 2025 (H.R. 1723), the Balance the Scales Act (H.R. 2958), the EBSA Investigations Transparency Act (H.R. 2869), the Michael Enzi Voluntary Protection Program Act (H.R. 2844), the Direct Seller and Real Estate Agent Harmonization Act (H.R. 3495), and the Retire through Ownership Act (H.R. 5169).

The markup will take place in Room 2175 of the Rayburn House Office Building. It is open to members of the press and will be live-streamed on the committee’s YouTube page.
