County of Mitchell issued the following announcement on Feb. 22.

Mitchell County will offer for sale to the highest bidder the following motor vehicles:

  1. 2006 Pontiac Van. Minimum bid is $1,000.00
  2. 2014 Dodge Charger #4057, blown engine. Minimum bid is $1,000.00
  3. 2014 Dodge Charger #6057, blown engine. Minimum bid is $1000.00

The vehicles may be inspected at the Mitchell County Maintenance Department, Crimson Laurel Way, Bakersville, NC. Contact: Danny Honeycutt, Director at 828-385-3565.

Bids must be submitted by sealed bid and received by the office of Mitchell County Finance Office, 26 Crimson Laurel Circle, Suite 3, Bakersville, NC 28705 by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Sale of the vehicles will be in “as is” condition with no warranty.
