County of Mitchell Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.

COME HAVE A BLAST this Saturday and Sunday (September 3rd & 4th)! 

 Emerald Village in Little Switzerland, NC hosts “Dynamite Days”, a ‘little celebration’ of summer’s end in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of NC.

 From 9 till 6 you can enjoy the free guided hike at 11:00, the food truck, craft vendors, gem mining, gold panning, mine tours, historical exhibits, picnicking, dip Hershey’s Ice Cream, home-made fudge, shopping (special sales going on), and more! 

Head for the hills Saturday and Sunday! You’ll have a blast!
