COUNTY OF AVERY: 2022 Christmas Schedule for Avery County Convenience Centers and Landfill

County of Avery issued the following announcement on Dec. 3.

The sites will be closed on Friday, December 23rd and Saturday, December 24th .

The sites will reopen on Monday, December 26th on a regular schedule. 

The sites will also be closed on Monday, January 2nd, 2023. 

All sites will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd at 6:30am.

Avery County landfill will be closed on Friday, December 23rd and Saturday, December 24th, 2022. 

We will reopen on Monday, December 26th at 8:00am. The landfill will also be closed on Monday, January 2nd, 2023. 

We will reopen on a regular schedule on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at 8:00am.

We would like to remind citizens that we have Christmas tree recycling collection at our Linville site and the Landfill.

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and New Year Holiday.
