Beaufort County Schools issued the following announcement on Jan. 5.

The Pediatric Trauma program at Maynard Children’s Hospital received a grant from the Children’s Miracle Network to provide local school districts with Stop the Bleed Kits.  Each of the 14 Schools in the Beaufort County School district received 2 large kits that have 8 individual vacuum sealed kits that include a tourniquet, gloves, large dressing and compressed gauze.
