Diesel gas was sold at the lowest price of $3.29 per gallon at one gas station in Avery County during the week ending Feb. 7, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Diesel gas prices averaged $3.39 per gallon in Avery County.
Of the 15 reported gas stations located within Avery County, two offered diesel gas.
Across North Carolina, the average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas fell to $3.44, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
